The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has created the post of trade representative of Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
“Today we’ve decided to introduce the institution of trade representative of Ukraine. This will be a main solicitor and advocate of Ukrainian business,” he said opening a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
The premier said that the decision was made after studying experience of other countries, including the United States, on the issue of creating an office of trade representative.
“A trade representative of Ukraine is a key and driving force in promotion of Ukrainian goods in the world and protecting Ukrainian economic interests,” he added.
