Unknown individuals stole an electric power generator from Euromaidan activists in Kharkiv, where it was brought to be stored for the night, on Thursday evening.

“The car carrying sound equipment and other Euromaidan equipment was
approached by an automobile, a Gazel model, whose license plate was so
dirty that the number could not be identified. Eight athletic men got
out of it and came running up to the guys who were unloading the car,
threatening and pushing them. They got into our vehicle, took out a
power generator, which the Euromaidan had rented, put it in their Gazel,
and quickly left,” Dmytro Pylypets, an initiator of the Kharkiv
Euromaidan, said.

The men were not detained and the police only arrived an hour after being called, he said.

“They have now arrived and they are questioning witnesses. But they
are unlikely to find anyone. I’m sure it was all agreed upon with the
police,” Pylypets said.

Pylypets also said that the Euromaidan will be held in Kharkiv near
the Shevchenko monument at 1800 on Friday, as was initially planned.
