Over a half of those injured in the May 2 disturbances in Odesa sustained injuries caused by blunt trauma, according to acting deputy head of the Odesa region state administration Zoya Kazanzhi.

Some 163 persons suffered such injuries, she wrote on Facebook.

A total of 247 persons sought medical attention and 99 of them were hospitalized, including 35 in grave condition, the official quoted official statistics of the Odesa region health department.

27 persons had gunshot wounds, 31 had stab and other knife wounds, and 26 had burns and smoke poisoning.

There have been no trauma statistic reports earlier.

The May 2 disturbances in Odesa killed 48 people. 5 of them died at hospital.
