You're reading: Aviation Service to soften proposed criteria on issuing air route permits

The State Aviation Service of Ukraine intends to soften the criteria on issuing permits for air routes that are stipulated in its previously prepared order No. 686 on the approval of aviation rules "the order of issuing and revoking permits for operating air routes."

This is fixed in the service draft order on amendments to the aviation regulations “the order of issuing and revoking permits for air routes,” which was posted on its website.

According to the comparative table to the document, it is proposed to issue permits for the operation of international regular and/or charter air routes to those air carriers which are predominantly owned or fully controlled by the state and/or Ukrainian citizens. It was previously proposed to give permits for air routes exclusively to companies with Ukrainian ultimate beneficiaries.

In addition, it is proposed to eliminate the norm specifying the number of people employed as of the end of the last reporting period in the application for the issue of permits for air routes.
