Jerusalem, March 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem has inducted Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
"We want to use your visit to induct you to the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre," Theophilos III said at an audience with Azarov on Tuesday, and then handed over to the Ukrainian prime minister a cross with a crown, wreath and star (the insignia of the order).
Azarov, in turn, said that in his person, this award had been presented to the whole Ukrainian nation.
"I see this as a sign of respect not only for me, but also for the Ukrainian people," he said.
