Azarov orders to hold meeting on retransmission of TVi programs in cable networks

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov (in the photo) has instructed Chairman of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee of Ukraine Oleksandr Kurdynovych to consider the possibility of the retransmission of programs produced by the TVi Channel in cable networks.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed Chairman of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee of Ukraine Oleksandr Kurdynovych to consider the possibility of the retransmission of programs produced by the TVi Channel in cable networks.

According to the press service of the Ukrainian government, the premier also gave the same instruction to Head of the National Television and Radio Council Volodymyr Manzhosov.

Azarov ordered the holding of a meeting on October 10 to discuss the issue and consider all of the issues.

The Kyiv Post is disabling its online comment section due to an increase in trolls, violent comments and other personal attacks. Other news organizations worldwide have taken similar steps for the same reasons. The Kyiv Post regrets having to take this action. The newspaper believes in a robust public debate, but the discussion must be constructive and intelligent.
