Ukraine's hosting of the Olympic Winter Games 2022 may give a powerful impetus to national development, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov told students of the Poltava Institute of Law of the Yaroslav Mudry National Law Academy on Sept. 22.
"It will not be easy to win the Olympic bid; we will have plenty of serious rivals. Should we try? I think we should. Olympic Games are a powerful incentive for national development," he said.
"Knowledge of Ukraine is limited, and such events attract investments and tourists. We will fight for hosting the Olympic Games, and we start to prepare for that right now," Azarov added.
