Ukraine's negotiations on signing an association agreement with the European Union are continuing, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.

“I am saying with all responsibility that the process of negotiations on signing an association agreement is continuing, and the work on bringing the country closer to European standards has not been stopped even for a day,” Azarov said at a government session on Wednesday.

Ukraine remains part of the negotiating process and part of the Eastern Partnership project, and it will take advantage of the delay to continue improving its laws and democratic standards and increasing the domestic economy’s competitiveness, he said.
