Several hundred residents of Kyiv on Sunday gathered for a commemorative rally near the monument for Soviet citizens, POWs and Red Army soldiers, execute by the Nazis at Babyn Yar.

The rally was organized by Ukraine’ Anti-Fascist Committee and
Jewish Forum, and it was also joined by representatives of the
Association of Former Prisoners of Concentration Camps and Ghettos, and
members of the Kyiv Veterans Committee, of the Kyiv Communist Party
branch, and of the Russian Bloc Party.

Flowers were laid to the monument.

The participants adopted an appeal to law enforcement agencies,
urging them to prevent attempts to incite ethnic enmity and xenophobia,
and to check the right-wing radical parties.
