You're reading: Bad weather causes blackouts in 302 towns and villages in 14 of Ukraine’s regions

A total of 302 towns and villages in 14 Ukraine's regions were left without electricity as a result of bad weather (snow and strong winds) on December 3 and in the early hours of December 4, the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry's press service reported.

Bad weather caused blackouts in 86 towns and villages in Kherson region, 43 in Kyiv region, 33 in Dnipropetrovsk region, 30 in Poltava region, 29 in Odesa region, 25 in Zaporizhia region, 12 in Chernihiv region, and 11 in Vinnytsia region.

In addition, blackouts were caused in eight towns and villages in Mykolaiv region, six in each Zhytomyr and Luhansk regions, five in Kirovohrad region, and four in each Cherkasy and Volyn regions.

Power crews are restoring electricity supplies in the regions, the Emergencies Ministry said.
