The Batkivschyna faction, despite the resignation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, is planning to put on the agenda of the parliamentary session the issue of the ratification of the Association Agreement with the EU, the allocation of funds for the needs of the army and a bill on holding parliamentary elections on open party lists, reads a statement released by the party on Friday, July 25.

“The Batkivschyna faction states that it will oppose the
implementation of this criminal plan by the Kremlin by all available
means. Despite the breakup of the coalition, we will insist on the
inclusion in the agenda and will unanimously vote for the ratification
of the Association Agreement, the allocation of funds for the Ukrainian
army, for the imposition of martial law in Donetsk and Luhansk regions,
and elections held under a new law on open party lists,” reads the
statement by the faction, which was read out by its leader, Serhiy
Sobolev, on Friday, July 25.
