Kyiv Post's Best of Kyiv 2010: Toyota Center Kyiv

For Kyiv Post readers and our expert panel, the Toyota Center Kyiv dealership was the preferred automobile seller in 2010.

It boasts an 800 square-meter showroom where car buyers can purchase used cars, trade-in, lease or receive financing to buy a new car. The Toyota Center offers insured test drives for any Toyota model.

And you could drop off your kid in the dealership’s children’s corner complete with entertaining toys and Playstation 2 game consoles.

The dealership is equipped with WiFi internet and has personal computers installed with free internet access.

With a population of more than 45 million people, low car ownership rates and old vehicles on the road – Ukraine is a great market. The nation’s automotive market has grown continuously since 2003. In 2008, light vehicle sales grew by 15 percent and reached 623,252 new vehicle sales. During 2009, domestic light vehicle demand dropped by more than 70 percent.

Still, Ukrainians own only 175 cars per 1,000 people, 46 percent less than in Russia, according to a report by Art Capital.

This means there’s significant room for growth in Ukraine, and the Toyota Center Kyiv dealership is well positioned to take advantage.

Overall, the compound is run by the 3S concept or sales, service and spares. Its auto service center occupies 3,100 square meters, has 30 lift platforms and more than 50 service stations. It’s capable of servicing 100 cars a day simultaneously.

All cars bought at the Toyota Center Kyiv come with a three-year or 100,000-kilometer warrantee, depending on which comes sooner.

And with the share of credit car sales increasing in 2010 from 5 to 13.2 percent, Toyota is positioned to capitalize on increasing sales.

“We expect credit sales to reach 25 percent by the end of 2011, driving up the total number of cars sold in Ukraine,” the Art Capital report said.
