You're reading: Best Private Health Service

Kyiv Post's Best of Kyiv 2010: Boris

When it comes to health, time is of the essence when problems arise. But if you want to visit a state clinic, you may not get the help you need when you need it.

The doctor you need may not show up for hours and you may end up waiting in long lines. Private health clinics, open 24/7, are the ticket for many patients.

For the seventh year, Kyiv Post readers agree that Boris is the best among them.
Boris has two departments – one for each Dnipro bank – to be closer to patients. Its staff numbers about 600 people, helping it provide effective service and care.

“We do not depend on the government financing, and that means we don’t need to wait for the new equipment for years – we get it as soon as we need it,” said Olga Perelman, the chief doctor at Boris.
Perelman is proud of the doctors in Boris.

“They have opportunities to communicate with leading foreign doctors, share experience and knowledge, even to host them sometimes to give a lecture on a new method for treatment or medicine,” Perelman said. “Some of our doctors visit foreign clinics to practice and to learn new technologies. Almost half of them speak English.”

If the patient can’t get to the clinic, Boris’ ambulances will get to the patient. They can even get through traffic jams with the help of a fleet that includes two motorcycles, eight cars (including off-road vehicles) and even a helicopter.
