Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed Raisa Bohatyriova from the post of secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

A relevant decree was signed and published on the Web site of the head of state on Feb. 14.

After that, Yanukovych appointed Bohatyriova to the posts of vice prime minister and minister of health of Ukraine.

Bohatyriova was appointed secretary of the National Security and Defense Council on Dec. 24, 2007. She was a member of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, of five convocations (the first convocation, and the third through sixth convocations).

The president also dismissed Oleksandr Anischenko from the post of health minister, which he had held since May 24, 2011.
