Boryspil airport increases passenger flows by almost 9% in 9 months

Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) in January-September 2012 increased its passenger flow by 8.8% compared to January-September 2011, to 6.691 million passengers.

The press service of the airport reported that the airport services 77,115 flights, including 38,570 departures and 38,545 arrivals.

The total volume of processed goods for the first nine months of this year stood at 24,326 tonnes, and that of mail at 4,016 tonnes.

In September 2012 Boryspil airport serviced 903,600 passengers, which is 5.4% up on September 2011.

As reported, Boryspil International Airport in January-August 2012 increased its passenger flow by 9% compared to January-August 2011, to 5.787 million passengers.

Boryspil International Airport is the main airport of the country and services 65% of the passenger air traffic in Ukraine. It is the only airport in Ukraine from which transcontinental flights are performed.

Boryspil International Airport has two runways: one 4,000 meters long and 60 meters wide, and another 3,500 meters long and 63 meters wide.
