Boryspil International Airport did not suspend the servicing of flights of AeroSvit Airline (both based in Kyiv) from noon on January 9, 2012, as the carrier is fulfilling its liabilities in the payment of funds for services provided, the airport's press service has reported.

The press service said that at present talks on restructuring the airline’s debt and a scheme for paying fees in advance for coming days are being held with AeroSvit.

For its part, the airport is ready to service all of the flights of national and international carriers under their daily flight schedules.

“We noted that the decision to delay or cancel flights is made by the airline. The airline submits information, which is broadcast on the information panel and the airport’s Web site, to flight operations officers,” reads the report.

As reported, Boryspil International Airport announced that it had suspended the servicing of AeroSvit Airline’s flights starting from flight VV 257 Kyiv-Copenhagen at 1250 on January 4, 2012 due to the non-observance of the financial discipline by the airline.

Later the airport reported that it settled the issue of paying for services with the airline. Boryspil International Airport has received a message from AeroSvit Airline on a partial advance payment for the services to be provided in the next few days, as well as a letter of guarantee with the obligation to transfer the funds for the provided services on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, and started servicing the airline’s departing flights.
