You're reading: Cabinet allocates extra Hr 35 million to Health Ministry for purchase of vaccines

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has allocated an additional Hr 35.2 million to the Health Ministry to purchase vaccines, the Health Ministry's press service said.

According to the press service, the funds will be used to buy three kinds of vaccines used for the immunization of children in the first year of life, in particular, a vaccine to prevent diphtheria and tetanus, a combined vaccine to prevent whooping cough, haemophilia and poliomyelitis, and a vaccine for the prevention of hepatitis B.

In early July, the Health Ministry asked the government to assign additional funds to purchase the vaccines.
