You're reading: Cabinet estimates capital investment in 2013 at Hr 300 billion

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is expecting capital investment in 2013 to reach about Hr 300 billion, Hr 100 billion of which will be investment in construction, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

“The government is expecting capital investment in 2013 to reach about Hr 300 billion. Some Hr 100 billion of the sum is construction activities. Two years ago we only dreamed of such amounts and there were no work teams able to perform this amount,” he said, while opening a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

Azarov said bypasses around Dnipropetrovsk and Sevastopol, the first category Luhansk-Donetsk highway, a container terminal in the Quarantine Pier at Odesa seaport, the Podilsky bridge across the River Dnipro in Kyiv, the Beskydsky tunnel in Lviv region and other infrastructure would be constructed in 2013.

As reported, with reference to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in the first half of 2012 some Hr 112.221 billion in capital investment was made in the country.
