SYMFEROPIL - Car traffic from Ukraine to Crimea through the Armiansk and Perekop border checkpoints resumed at 16.00 Moscow time on Saturday after being suspended for several hours, the Crimean customs service said in a statement

Reports earlier on Dec. 27 had said Ukraine had stopped letting cars
through the two checkpoints, that queues had formed on the border, and
that travelers had had to leave their cars and “walk toward the Russian
Federation.”

Spokesman for the anti-terrorist operation Andriy Lysenko earlier
said that transport communication between mainland Ukraine and Crimea
was temporarily suspended to prevent the entry into the country of
saboteurs disguised as locals.
