Ukraine's Presidential Administration has said that the application of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union has not been postponed and that most of its provisions will be implemented in the near future.

“I emphasize again that [the application of] the Association Agreement has not been postponed. There’s already a clear decision that the agreement will be applied from Nov. 1,” Deputy Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Administration Valeriy Chaly said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

He noted that apart from the section on a free trade area, the sides would soon launch the provisional application of all sections concerning institutional interaction, sectoral cooperation between Ukraine and EU institutions, political dialogue, justice, freedom, all that serves as a benchmark for anti-corruption reform, reform of the judicial system, and all that is important to civil society.

“Therefore, nobody will lose time. We already need to actively work on the implementation of the Association Agreement,” Chaly said.
