Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has accepted an invitation from Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to visit Ukraine.

“I’m ready to visit your country at any time convenient for both
sides. I think that we will instruct our foreign ministries to hold
concrete consultations on this issue,” he said at a meeting with
Yanukovych in Beijing on Friday.

Li said that the two countries are maintaining bilateral strategic
partnership and also described Yanukovych’s visit to China as
successful.

“The most important thing is that your visit creates a good
foundation for further development of our relations and cooperation,” he
said.

Yanukovych, in turn, noted that he was pleased to discuss further
ways of expanding strategic partnership between Ukraine and China.

“The development of partnership and strategic relations between
Ukraine and China is a priority in our foreign policy. I’m satisfied
with intensification of Ukrainian-Chinese relations and the successful
development of our bilateral dialogue,” Yanukovych said.
