Truck traffic on all roads to and from Crimea across the administrative border with Ukraine's Kherson Region has been closed, said Refat Chubarov, a member of the parliamentary faction of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc.

“The last ‘hole’ – Kalanchak – on the administrative line between mainland Ukraine and the temporarily occupied Crimea has been closed,” Chubarov wrote on his Facebook page on Sept. 20.

Over 100 vans have gathered at the checkpoint, he said. “Very animated discussions with drivers, but not one van will go through any more. Some are still waiting for God only knows what, others are turning back,” he added.

It was reported earlier that a number of Ukrainian politicians announced their intention to block Crimea-bound Ukrainian goods as of September 20 in sign of protest against the peninsula’s annexation by Russia.
