An interagency commission probing the circumstances of the signing of an agreement between the State Agency for Investment and National Projects and a Spanish gas company on the construction of the LNG terminal in Ukraine, which is headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Valeriy Khoroshkovsky, has started studying the collected documents and evidence, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on Friday, Dec. 7.

The commission includes representatives of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, the Finance Ministry, the Justice Ministry, the Foreign Ministry and the Security Service of Ukraine.

The government instructed the commission to consider the circumstances of preparations for the signing of the agreement, the reasons why the draft document was not agreed upon in the prescribed manner, how the powers of the parties that signed the agreement were determined, and clarify the legal consequences of the signing.

The report and findings of the commission will be heard at a government meeting on Monday, December 10, 2012.
