You're reading: Contact Group’s security subgroup ends talks in Minsk

The security subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine has ended its meeting in Minsk, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry has said.

“The working group on security issues in eastern Ukraine has ended talks in Minsk,” the ministry announced on Twitter.

The same announcement was made by a spokesperson for Denis Pushilin who represents the Donetsk People’s Republic at the Minsk talks.

“The talks have concluded,” the spokesperson was quoted by the Donetsk News Agency as saying.

There has been no report of the results of the meeting which was held without the press.

The subgroup began the meeting yesterday. The talks continued through the night, the parties took a break in the early morning of Sep. 4.
