The complaint of Ukrainian MP Nadia Savchenko's defender about the refusal to let her go to the PACE session as a delegate will be considered in the Basmanny Court on May 6, Savchenko's trial lawyer Mark Feigin has said.

“The complaint of Ukrainian MP Nadia Savchenko’s defender about the investigative authorities’ refusal to release her as a delegate to the PACE session will be considered in the Basmanny Court on May 6,” Feigin wrote on Twitter on Sunday night.

The lawyer also added that a new spokesperson for the group of lawyers would soon help them in a public campaign in Savchenko’s case.

“She, being the press secretary and the head of the volunteer support group, will try to establish the uniform coverage of events in Savchenko’s case. Let’s wait,” he wrote.

As reported, the European Parliament at its plenary session in Strasbourg on April 30 passed the resolution condemning Russia for keeping Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko in prison and warned of possible international sanctions and the prosecution of those responsible for that.
