You're reading: Crimean authorities say Dzhemilev is welcome home as long as he has good intentions

The former leader of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Mustafa Dzhemilev, can come to Crimea any time as long as he has only good intentions, the republic's acting leader Sergei Aksionov said.

“Dzhemilev can come to Crimea whenever he wants to, but with good intentions. What he was doing here cannot be called other than provocative actions aimed at inter-ethnic clashes,” Aksionov told reporters in Simferopol, commenting on the reports about Dzhemilev being banned from entering Russia, including Crimea, for five years.
