The integration of Crimea into Russian healthcare standards will take two years and will cost 6 billion rubles, Russian Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova said. "This program is intended for two years. The money allocated for it, some 6 billion rubles, will be enough," Skvortsova told reporters in Simferopol on April 25. The minister also said residents of Crimea will keep their medical benefits, even if such benefits are not envisioned by the Russian legislation.

She also said the Health Ministry will create so-called medical technical parks equipped with modern equipment in Crimea.

“These technical parks will be equipped with the most modern equipment, imaging units, and the most modern scanning equipment,” Skvortsova said.

Two high-tech medical centers, one for adults and one for children, will be created in Simferopol, she said.
