First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Rinat Kuzmin does not rule out that a criminal case could be opened against First Deputy Chairman of the Batkivschyna Party Oleksandr Turchynov for the illegal issuance of an apartment to a journalist by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), he has said on Inter TV channel.

Kuzmin noted that the Prosecutor General’s Office received a complaint from one of the special forces veterans, in which he asked to make Turchynov answerable for the bribery of the journalist through the allocation of an apartment.

Kuzmin said that after Turchynov had taken the post of SBU head, he appointed the journalist head of the authority’s press service, set him on the housing waiting list, and after a few months allocated him an apartment.
