A jeep belonging to a reputed criminal ringleader known as Vova Morda has come under fire in central Lviv, sources close to the law enforcement agencies told Interfax-Ukraine.

Serhiy Ziubanenko, the head of the Lviv city police department, has neither confirmed nor denied that the criminal ringleader was wounded in the attack, only saying that the driver was killed and a passenger was wounded. The other passenger was not hurt and is now being questioned by the police, Ziubanenko said on Friday.
