A day of mourning in Ukraine due to the casualties following mass disturbances. President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is expected to meet with Foreign Ministers of Poland, Germany and France Radoslaw Sikorski, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Laurent Fabius.

At 10 am, a plenary sitting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (5
Hrushevskoho Street, session hall). Admission requires press
accreditation.

At 12 pm, leader of the Regions Party faction in parliament Oleksandr Yefremov will hold a briefing.

From 10 am until 5 pm, a seminar entitled “Separate Collection of
Urban Wastes in Ukraine: Issues and Perspectives” with the participation
of acting Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Oleh
Proskuriakov (big conference hall of the National Academy of Sciences of
Ukraine, 55 Volodymyrska Street).

At 10:30 am, a press conference by Ukrainian Credit Rating Agency (UCRA)
and Independent Association of the Banks of Ukraine (NABU) on the
occasion of the presentation of the project “Research of Transparency of
the Ukrainian Banks.” The participants will include: General Manager of
UCRA Stanislav Dubko, Executive Director of NABU, Board Chairman of
State-Controlled Ukrgasbank Serhiy Mamedov and Deputy Chief of USAID
Financial Sector Development Program Viktor Stetsenko (Ukrainian News
agency, 20 Esplanadna Street).

At 11 am, a press conference entitled “Unpeaceful Maidan: Is Any
Way-out Possible?” The participants will include: Head of the Magdeburg
Law Municipal Reforms Foundation Mykhailo Pozhyvanov, Director of
International Democracy Institute Serhiy Taran and Deputy Director of
the Situations Modelling Agency Oleksiy Holobutsky (Obozrevatel edition,
44-A Dmytrivska Street).

At 12 pm, a video linkup between Kyiv and Moscow on the topic
“Development of the Situation in Ukraine as Seen by the Experts.” The
participants in Kyiv will include: Founder and Director of Research
& Branding Group Company Yevhen Kopatko and Expert from Kyiv Center
of Political Studies and Conflictology Anton Finko. The participants in
Moscow will include: Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS Countries
Vladimir Zharikhin and Editor-in-Chief of the journal ‘Problems of
National Strategy’ Azhdar Kurtov (RIA Novosti Agency, 28-A Instytutska
Street). Admission requires press accreditation.

From Feb. 19 until Feb. 21, Head of the Verkhovna Rada
Committee for European Integration, and Deputy Head of the Batkivschyna
All-Ukrainian Union Hryhoriy Nemyria will visit Brussels to meet with EU
representatives and European politicians to discuss the urgent measures
to stop the escalation of violence and find a way out of the political
crisis.

Chairman of the Crimean Supreme Council Volodymyr Konstantynov will
visit Moscow to meet with State Duma Chairman Sergei Naryshkin and
leaders of factions in Russian Parliament.
