A total of 991 servicemen were injured during the anti-terrorist operation being held in eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Military and Medical Department Director Vitaliy Andronatiy said at a briefing on July 22.

“Over 400 servicemen are already in their units or are undergoing rehabilitation and are ready to return as well. As of now, 566 people injured are being treated, and 20% of them are in serious condition, 30% in moderately serious condition, and 50% have minor injuries. A total of 528 out of the injured are servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” Andronatiy said.

Nineteen Ukrainian troops and four border guards have died outside Zelenopillia and 101 servicemen were injured, Andronatyi said. “This subdivision was in isolation. But we evacuated all those injured without losses first to our mobile hospital and then to Dnipropetrovsk hospitals by helicopters. Many of these doctors were nominated for state awards,” he said.
