During the fighting at Donetsk airport, militants blasted the runway, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has said.
“During the fights on the territory of Donetsk airport, terrorist forces blew
up its runway. Fighting for the airport continues,” reads a statement posted on
the ministry’s website on Jan. 20 evening.
The Ukrainian government forces fighting at Donetsk airport have received
additional reserves and ammunition, the ministry said.
