Russian military have thrown grenades at the Ukrainian Navy's anti-submarine corvette Ternopil and damaged it, Adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Leonid Poliakov has said.

“A tug boat of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was circling around the Ternopil corvette on March 19, grenades were being thrown onto the deck of our ship from the tug. As a result, the corvette sustained some damage,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv on March 20.

At the same time, Poliakov refuted the reports that the Ukrainian frigate Hetman Sahaidachny left the port of Odesa in order to counteract the Russian Black Sea Fleet ships.

He said that Hetman Sahaidachny was currently in Odesa, where it was restoring its combat capability.
