The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has said that the country has a sufficient number of military higher educational institutions to train skilled personnel for the Armed Forces.

“The network of military higher educational institutions that exists in Ukraine is sufficient to train enough specialists. The Armed Forces are not training officers in other countries, although as part of various international projects officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces undergo training in the military educational institutions of other countries,” Deputy Director of the Department of Military Education and Science at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Oleksandr Babenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.

He said that a list of specialties was also sufficient for the training of specialists in order to fill the posts of the tactical, operational and strategic levels in the Ukrainian army.

Babenko noted that there were more than 40 areas of training and that the total number of specialties was about 200.
