Any possible steps to coordinate the idea of establishing the Committee for the Salvation of Ukraine with the Russian authorities are out of the question, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

“Certainly, the Kremlin has nothing to do with this initiative. Certainly, coordinating this initiative with any official authorities here in Russia, let alone agreeing upon Oleinyk’s candidacy, is out of the question,” Peskov told reporters on Aug. 3.

Earlier today, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced the establishment of a committee that would seek to change Ukraine’s current political leadership.
