Zaporizhia, Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Dnipro Ecological Prosecutor's Office is being created in Ukraine because of the worsening of the water quality in the River Dnipro, and it is to start its work in Zaporizhia in the near future, Zaporizhia Region Prosecutor Viacheslav Pavlov told the board of the regional prosecutor's office.
As he said, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka has already signed an order to create the Dnipro Ecological Prosecutor’s Office.
Interregional ecological prosecutor’s offices are created on the basis of the new prosecutor’s office structure in six Ukrainian regions. One of the first prosecutor’s ecological sub offices will open in Zaporizhia and will start its work in a few weeks.
Prosecutor Yuriy Kuzmichov will head Zaporizhia Interregional Ecological Prosecutor’s Office, the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Zaporizhia region told Interfax-Ukraine.
