Documents of defense plants located in Donetsk and Luhansk regions were removed in advance, but equipment could be removed by illegal armed groups via the border checkpoints with Russia which are not under control of Ukraine, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said.

“However, all documents of the enterprises at which equipment was dismantled were removed in advance and terrorists will not get them,” he said at a briefing on Wednesday, Aug. 27.

Lysenko said that this concerns Luhansk cartridge factory, Donetsk’s Tochmash, which produced sensor systems, Luhansk electronic engineering plant and the Yunist plant in Krasnodon.

Lysenko said that information about the dismantling of equipment was received, while there is no proof that the equipment crossed the border with Russia.

He added that trucks with equipment could have left Ukrainian territory via checkpoints that are not under control of Ukraine.
