Due to the crossing of the Ukrainian border near Novoazovsk (Donetsk region) by about 50 armored vehicles from Russia, the Donbas battalion is forming and sending mobile groups of tank destroyers to the area, Donbas battalion commander Semen Semenchenko has said.

“I, as battalion commander, who is in the area of the alleged blocking of the group breaking through northward, have decided to form mobile groups of tank destroyers armed with modern anti-aircraft guns and antitank missiles on mobile platforms. These groups are already advancing towards the communications,” he wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.

Semenchenko noted that “the invasion of Russian occupiers” was now “local and easily removable.”

“According to a Donetsk border detachment, about 50 pieces of hardware crossed the border with Russia near Novoazovsk under the cover of artillery fire. Part of the hardware (up 40 pieces) headed towards Mariupol, and another part headed towards Kuteinykove-Amvrosiyivka-Ilovaisk,” he wrote.
