Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister Hennadiy Zubko hopes that the agency for rebuilding Donbas will start work in early May this year.

“I hope that at the beginning of the next month we will launch the agency for rebuilding Donbas, which will deal with the humanitarian direction, the coordination of work between the governments and embassies, operating in Ukraine, humanitarian, financial institutions that want to help Ukraine,” Zubko told journalists in Kyiv.

The official thanked all the organizations that are implementing programs of assistance to refugees in Ukraine.

“We have three components for which we want to reach a specific result. The first one is the restoration of infrastructure in the affected regions of Donbas, the second one is support to the enterprises working there, and the third one is support to local authorities, which will create favorable conditions for businesses. This is our program for the social and economic recovery of Donbas,” he stressed.

According to Zubko, along with the assistance provided by the UNDP and the Japanese government, “we receive a clear signal that it is possible to invest in Ukraine today.”
