The Verkhniokalmiuska Filter Station in Donetsk was cut off from power once again at about 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the Donetsk city council reported on its official Web site.
“Details are being looked into,” it said.
It was reported earlier that repairs to restore power to the Verkhniokalmiuska Filter Station had been completed on Aug 19 and the station was restarted in a minimum operation mode. After that, the equipment’s load started being increased and water started being accumulated to be supplied to the city water distribution system.
In connection with this, the city council anticipated that the restoration of water supplies to Donetsk could take two more days. The city council reported on Wednesday morning that water could reach Donetsk’s water supply system by the evening of Aug 21.
