You're reading: Donetsk contracts 12,000 rooms for Euro 2012 fans

Donetsk has contracted 11,980 rooms to accommodate fans of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, according to the Web site of the Ukraine 2012 Information Center, with reference to the national agency for Ukraine's preparations for Euro 2012 (Ukrevroinfraproekt).

According to a report, in particular, 10,920 beds are in dormitories, 424 in resorts, and 641 in low-cost hotels.

TUI Travel (Britain), the official tour operator of UEFA, to accommodate the official groups of Euro 2012 signed contracts with Ukrainian hotels for 14,100 rooms, with the request being 18,200 rooms.

Along with this, TUI Travel, in particular, contracted 6,500 rooms in Kyiv, which is 89% of the required 7,300.

The UEFA request for 5,600 rooms in Donetsk has been 44% fulfilled and for 2,200 rooms in Kharkiv 80.4% fulfilled.
