A short burst of gunfire was heard on Donetsk's Putylivsky highway, close to Donetsk airport, at about 5 p.m. Kyiv time, reads a posting on Donetsk Mayor's official web site Oleksandr Lukyanchenko.
“According to unconfirmed information, the shooting was committed by
supporters of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic in the
direction of Donetsk Airport’s building in expectation of shooting in
response, which did not follow. Investigators lead by chief of Donetsk’s
main police department Yuriy Sednev have left to the site of the
incident,” reads the posting.
There was no information about injuries.
