Humanitarian aid for residents arrived to Donetsk region to sites, where battles have stopped, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council information center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said.

“In 24 hours 63 tonnes of humanitarian aid from Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Sviatohirsk and different charity foundations was brought to the Donetsk region,” Lysenko said.

In particular, in the past five days residents of Sloviansk and neighboring cities received 158 tonnes of food, medication and different equipment, Lysenko said.

As of today, power supplies have been resumed in Sloviansk and work on clearing roads continues. Pensions are being paid and Oschadbank experts restore ATM networks, he said.
