Armed supporters of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic have illegally deported 16 Ukrainian orphans and two teachers, who were kidnapped earlier in Donetsk region, to Russia, according to the Web site of Donetsk Regional Administration.

“Armed members of the so-called DPR forced children (25 children) and their legal representatives – tutors at the mixed-type orphanage for preschool and school-age children of Snizhne Town Council and a houseparent of the family-type orphanage to cross the border of the Russian Federation. After the mother of the family-type orphanage flatly refused to leave the state, their family was left in Ukraine, but 16 children of Snizhne Town Council orphanage accompanied by two tutors were illegally transferred to a refugee camp in Novoshahtinsk,” the statement reads.
