You're reading: Donetsk regional authorities want peaceful settlement of crisis

The current public and political situation in Donetsk region was the main topic of a meeting of head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Serhiy Taruta with the chief of the OSCE's special mission to Ukraine, Mark Etherington, on Tuesday.

In the course of the meeting, the representative of OSCE mission
shared with Taruta his vision of a way out of the situation in the
region, the spokesman of Donetsk regional state administration said.

“In turn, Taruta said that the representatives of the regional power
today are holding talks with the population’s protest groups to
stabilize the situation in the region and want to achieve a peaceful
settlement of this serious crisis,” the report said.
