An ad hoc group of international experts has established that the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft, which was downed over Ukraine's east on July 17, was flying within the flight route limits and Ukrainian traffic controllers who were handling it acted under instructions, head of the state commission investigating the air crash Volodymyr Hroisman says.

“An international ad hoc group consisting of experts of the Air Accident
Investigation Branch of the United Kingdom and the European Aviation
Safety Agency conducted a comparative analysis of data read from the
[aircraft’s] transponders and ground radars, which confirmed that when
in Ukraine’s airspace, the plane was flying within the designated flight
route limits,” Hroisman announced at the Ukraine Crisis Media Center on July 24 .
