Dynamo Kyiv wins through to Europa League quarterfinals

FC Dynamo Kyiv lost 0-1 to England's Manchester City in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie, but won the tie 2-1 on aggregate and advanced through to the quarterfinals of the football tournament. The match was played at the City of Manchester Stadium on March 17.

Aleksandar Kolarov scored the only goal before the break – in the 39th minute.

Italian Mario Balotelli was shown a straight red card for a dreadful, high one-footed lunge at Goran Popov in the 36th minute.

As reported, the first leg took place at the Valeriy Lobanovsky stadium in Kyiv on March 10.

The draw for the quarterfinals of the Champions League and the Europa League will be made in Nyon, Switzerland, at 1300 Kyiv time on Friday, March 18.
