Eight Ukrainian servicemen have been injured in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas in the past 24 hours, Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has reported.

“No Ukrainian soldier has been killed in the past 24 hours. Eight soldiers have been injured,” NSDC information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Oct. 24.

He also said that last night in the conflict zone was relatively quiet.

“The number and intensity of attacks on the positions of the antiterrorist operation forces are declining,” Lysenko said, adding that there was no attack on Thursday with the use of multiple rocket launching systems.

“But this morning, at 8:25 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., terrorists twice shelled the control tower of the Donetsk airport with Grads,” he said.
