MOSCOW - The leadership of the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic plans to put off the elections of the parliament and president until Nov. 9, said First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Purgin.

“We and our colleagues in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic plan to put off the elections until Nov. 9, which is due to the necessity to level off the humanitarian situation. We will not be able to finish the restoration work by Nov. 2,” Purgin told Interfax on Monday evening.
