State enterprise Energoatom will not be privatized this year, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuriy Prodan has said.

“This year Energoatom will not be privatized,” he told reporters in Kyiv.

Prodan said “there are different approaches to privatization. The
company can be transferred to an IPO, then small stakes can be sold, it
can be also sold to a strategic investor. But a decision has not been
made regarding Energoatom.”

Earlier Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk said that the
Cabinet of Ministers has ambitious plans for the privatization of large
state facilities, in particular Ukrspyrt. According to him, the
government will propose the parliament amend the law on objects that are
not subject to privatization.

In addition, it is planned in 2015 to hold an IPO of 15 percent in PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia.
